Today was a good day with two large flocks of storm-petrels, a dozen South Polar Skuas, a flock of 77 Sabine’s Gulls, a couple of nice flocks of shearwaters, and highlighted by three Flesh-footed Shearwaters.
The weather was excellent with light winds and only 4 foot swells.
At one point we were surrounded by a dozen Humpback Whales. No new year birds, though. Hopefully tomorrow.
